i finally mustered enough courage to say goodbye to the guy i was currently seeing.
I never loved him. He was my best frnd. Provided me a lot of comfort wen i broke up with Ashi. He supported me all thru the trying times.Then one day he asked me to consider him more than a frnd.Initially i was sceptical n too heart broken to even think abt it. Later after a lot of urgings frm my other frnds i finally decided to give it a try.But it didnt work out. He understood tht even though i was denying my feelings 4 Ashi, secretly i was still in love with him which is in fact true.Anyways this led to a strain in our relationship.We cudnt even be frnds anymore. There was so much strain. tension in our conversations. The new relationship stifled our frndship.
I finally mustered enough courage to set him free today. I didnt want to lose a frnd. It hurt. But a lill pain now saves a lot of heartache n recriminations in the future.
Reminds me of few lines frm the movie “Indecent Proposal” where Diana says ,“If you ever want something badly, let it go. If it comes back to you, then it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never yours to begin with. ” I have set Ashi free, i have no hopes of his ever returning back to me. But thats a lie. A part of secretly do wishes him back.i want him back. I hope he is back…..some day….one day…..
