Sajna Ve Sajna…

I was wondering wat to post today. I mean watever I post has to be special.It being a valentines day, after all… right?
I thought, and I thought hard. Nothing inspirational flashed into my head. I donno wat to write that wud prove my love for Ashi.I thought abt writing a poem but decided against it.Poetry has to come frm within u, it cant be manufactured at ur whim. So I had to drop that idea too.
All the while I was thinking abt wat to do to make this day SPECIAL, I was listening to “Sajna Ve Sajna” from Chameli.Ah! I know many ppl didnt like the movie. The subject being controversial n not at all acceptable in “polite Indian society”, no matter how much we claim to be broadminded/ modern, we always look at certain issues with a critical eye. I donno y ppl cant accept it into their normal folds of life. After all this is LIFE!!! U just cant close ur eyes to unpleasanness around u.
Anyways, I just loved the movie “Chameli”. Though I am not a fan of Kareena Kapaur, I did feel that she acted brilliantly in the movie. And as for the songs in the movie, I simply loved them,especially”sajna ve sajna”. The lyrics are fabulous!!! The expression is so beautiful.And Sunidhi adds so much life. It’s a livewire . Too good a song.
But going back to the expressions in the song, its fabulous.The emotions evoked are so unruly, raw, intense….so natural.It bares up ur soul. It leaves u stripped off ur armour, completely vulnerable in front of ur beloved.The evocation of love wrenches ur heart .U can actually feel the words clawing at u, biting in to ur soul!!!It’s so damn powerful.
I love listening to the “Chameli” songs after a hard day at college especially if I am feeling melancholic, which is often.So on this special day, ASHI, imagine it’s me singing out to u, though I know u wud have no clue wat song is this n frm wat movie, but that doesnt matter. Wat matters is the expression , right?And it matters that i mean every single word Sunidhi sings.
